Oakland Magazine Green Launch Party
The Brazilian Room in Tilden Regional Park was the setting for Oakland Magazine’s launch party celebrating the April issue and its green environmental movement theme. Sponsored by the East Bay Regional Park District, the event introduced the issue and feted advertising sponsors. More than 250 guests were treated to green-theme gift bags and enjoyed local and seasonal cuisine by Wild Thyme Catering, beer from Pyramid Brewery, wine from Rosenblum Cellars and live jazz by the Doug McKeehan Duo. Proceeds from a simultaneous silent auction enabled the Regional Parks Foundation to send a dozen kids to summer camp. www.ebparks.org. Photography by Al Wright.
