Temescal Foodie
In perusing the Dining Out guide in my February Oakland Magazine, I was surprised and disappointed to note that under the Temescal section, several of the best and most popular restaurants were left out.I am a former long-term (34 years) Oakland/Piedmont resident, and while I now call Alameda my home, I still work in Oakland, and I travel regularly to Temescal to eat/drink at Lanesplitter Pub & Pizza, Genova Delicatessen, Pizzaiolo, Bakesale Betty and The Avenue Bar.
In my opinion, these restaurants represent some of the very best of Oakland, let alone the Temescal District. While they may not be advertisers, or may even have been featured in your magazine in the past, I think they still should have been named in your dining out guide, as people pick this up and refer to it as the go-to guide for restaurant ideas in the area.
Thanks for reading this, and keep up the good work! (I hella Love Oakland, and I hella love Oakland Magazine too!)
